Large-scale Moscow's Strikes Eliminate Power Across Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure under attack in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have faced increased attacks in the past few days

During the night, Russian aerial assaults have resulted in blackouts in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were hurt while local people in eastern districts were experienced blackouts and dealt with disruption to water systems, according to city officials.

At the same time, a seven-year-old child was killed in a separate Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, as reported by area administrators.

Russian forces has escalated assaults on energy facilities over the past few days, while the country's government has requested "substantial measures" from partner nations to exert influence on Russia.

"What's needed is not superficial actions but strong steps - from the US, European nations and the Group of Seven - in providing protection systems and implementing restrictions," was stated in a social media post.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty rockets attacked energy facilities, labeling such assaults as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.

The energy minister said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and maintenance teams were working to restore power.

A wave of strikes damaged power facilities and apartment buildings in Kyiv.

Several of the people injured in the assaults on the city have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by municipal representatives.

Local officials said the city endured significant strikes during nighttime hours. A young boy lost their life and three other people were injured.

The assaults come after periods of aerial attacks in the territory, sections of which are occupied by Russian forces.

All of Ukraine is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are more difficult to spot.

Authorities told reporters that Russia was deliberately attempting to damage the national power system, with strikes already affecting fuel infrastructure.

Officials stated energy workers and government agencies were bracing for additional strikes.
